How Do I Measure My Truck Bed / How Do I Know If the Truck Tool Box is the Right Size for my Truck?

How do I know its the right fit?

Most of the time it's necessary to measure the width of your truck bed rails inside and outside in order to know what size truck toolbox or tank you will need. Here is how we suggest fitting and sizing your truck toolbox...

  1. Measure the INSIDE of your truck bed, from right to left. Then measure the outside of your bed rails.
  2. If you plan to purchase a chest box or a tank that sits inside your bed, make sure it's smaller then the inside width of your bed.
  3. If you plan to purchase a crossover truck box, measure your truck bed, making sure to allow for wheel wells or other obtrusions.
  4. When measuring for other products like wheel-well boxes or sidemounts or topmounts, make sure to measure your wheel-wells and the length and height of the bed also.

 

What are the differences in materials?

Tool boxes may seem simple and straightforward enough, but different construction materials have unique characteristics which may impact your purchasing decision. Here’s how the options we carry differ: 

Aluminum 

  • Tough yet (relatively, for a giant tool box) lightweight
  • Corrosion resistant
  • Affordably priced
  • Most common material used

Diamond Plate Aluminum

  • Similar to its conventional aluminum cousin, but with that classic diamond tread look
  • Also corrosion resistant and affordably priced

Steel

  • Extra tough, extra heavy duty
  • Resists rusting

Polyethylene

  • Lightweight and easy to handle
  • Completely rust-proof, thanks to being made of plastic instead of metal
  • Don’t let plastic fool you into thinking “cheap” or “weak”; these suckers are still plenty tough

How Long Will My Order Take?

As soon as you place your order, you will receive an order confirmation e-mail.  This means that we have received your order in our system and pre-authorized your credit card for the purchase. Most orders are processed within 24 hours of placing the order. You can expect to receive most orders within 6 to 9 business days. Since most of our brands ship from their warehouses directly to your front door—ensuring you're getting the authentic products straight from the manufacturer—shipping times may  sometimes vary. 

Some brands offer made-to-order products or custom gear and build outs, and those orders may take a little while longer, but Mighty Boxes and every brand we partner with are completely dedicated to our customer’s satisfaction and to completing and delivering your order as quickly as possible. If your item(s) is on back order (more than 5 days) or unavailable, we immediately contact you and will void the pre-authorization and reach out to you via your provided email. Do I have to pay sales tax?

Customers from or currently living in the state of Tennessee while ordering (meaning that your billing and/or shipping address is in Tennessee) are required to pay sales tax. However if you live outside of Tennessee then you do not have to pay sales tax. Sales tax is automatically added during the checkout for Tennessee-based customers only.


How Is My Order Shipped?

Because of the large size and the weight of these truck boxes (well over 100lbs for just 1 box), we cannot use Fedex or UPS and must use an LTL Freight company.


Can I Make Changes To My Order Once It Has Been Placed?

In most cases you cannot make changes to your order once it has been submitted. We begin processing your order immediately so we can ship it out to you as soon as possible.

Why Is My Order Incomplete?

Primarily Mighty Boxes orders are shipped directly from the manufacturer. If you order two products from two different brands, then your orders items will be shipped separately and shipping times could vary.

Cancellations & Refunds:

All orders cancelled after 24 hours or later are subject to a $50 administration fee, whether or not your order has shipped.  If the order has shipped, the customer is responsible for a 35% restocking fee and shipping costs to and/or from the warehouse to the delivery address.

If your order has shipped, the customer will also be responsible for actual return shipping charges. 

Refunds will only be issued to the original credit card that you use when placing your order.



My Order is Damaged:

We do our absolute best to insure that the product arrives to our customers not damaged. 

Please inspect the packaging of your item(s) when they arrive, if you notice any major damage, please take pictures of it.

If your item(s) do arrived damaged, please send photos to help@mightyboxes.net and we will process an insurance claim on your behalf. Claims must be reported within 24 hours. We are not responsible for anything later than 24 hours.

 


Do You Ship Internationally?

At this time, we do not ship internationally. We only ship in the 48 continental US.

I Have Not Received A Confirmation Email Regarding My Order?

To ensure you receive all emails from MightyBoxes.net, please check your Spam and/or Junk folder in your provided email account.
